Yeah, Bauer does that, too.

What can't he do? With the soaring popularity of the show, Jack Bauer has become a contemporary living legend (albeit a fictional one), with commensurate powers of seemingly mythical proportions (at least according to the web). Now he gets to kick pixelated terrorist butt, too, in, yup, you knew it was coming, 24: The Game for PS2.

But as any self-respecting gamer knows, licensed games are traditionally pretty awful. Instead of focusing on a winning story and stellar gameplay, the publishers are usually just trying to cash in on the popularity of the show. But it looks like Cambridge, the publisher of 24: The Game, is actually going all out.

The writers from the show are penning the storyline (set between seasons two and three of the show), and Kiefer Sutherland and the rest of the cast are lending their likenesses and considerable voice talent to the project. The new story will actually fit into the series' continuity (allowing you to investigate some unanswered questions from the show), and with the appearance of lots of familiar characters, 24: The Game looks like it'll appeal to many of you diehard fans out there.

It looks like it'll appeal to gamers as well. The hyper-realistic graphics appear top-notch, and the 3rd person shooting and mini-game action sequences are reminiscent of RE4 . Will it do well? We won't have to wait long to find out; the game comes out Feb 28.

Huh. 24 is becoming such a phenomenon, it almost makes me want to watch the show just to see what all the hype's about. Nah.

"Jack Bauer is the 'i' in team."

"When the boogie man goes to sleep, he checks his closet for Jack Bauer."

"Lets get one thing straight, the only reason you are conscious right now is because Jack Bauer does not feel like carrying you."

and

"If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life."

But before Jack Bauer there was MacGyver ... (sorry getting in some first / 2nd season MacGyver fixes here ... heh).
