My New Cell Group "Journey"
Introducing my new small group in SoCal. After the 4 weeks of required large group meetings with all the other new small groups, this past Tuesday was our first real small group meeting at someone's house. It's certainly a pretty different dynamic from Mountain View Cellgroup. For one, I think there's only one engineer in the whole group. (I'm definitely not in Silicon Valley anymore. :P) Second, I've moved from being the oldest to now one of the youngest members. And spiritually, we run the whole spectrum, from heavily involved to seekers.
We were all strangers when we started. I'm really looking forward to what God has in store for us. I know He purposefully brought us together, and I'm hoping that in a year, I'll be able to look back at this post and laugh, as I remember about how hard it was just getting everyone's name straight, to how God has (hopefully) grown us together as a family.
At least one guy in the group was a worship leader in his previous church. So I know we're going to be having some fun jam sessions in the future. *sigh* I guess it's time to finally start looking for a guitar, huh?
