Third Day And David Crowder Concert - Wherever You Are Tour

Last night, several of us went to see the Third Day and David Crowder concert in San Jose. Thanks to Amy and her company, Celebration Concerts, we were able to get into the concert for free, in exchange for working the merchandise booths.

Chris and I arrive early at 3pm, and as you can see,
there was a lot of work to be done.

The rest arrived at 5pm. Notice our state-of-the-art staff badges.

Once the concert started, the girls worked
the vendor booths and the credit card stations.

The guys waited on the sides to run credit card
purchases over to the credit card booth...

...though in this swarm of crazed fans, I use
the word "run" figuratively here.

A much more diverse demographic
than the Tomlin/Redman concert.

David Crowder...

...is pretty skinny.

Third Day

Mac without long hair looks strange to me.

Mac and David, together on stage, singin' bluegrass.

More merchandise mayhem after the concert.

And then it was time to break it all down. We had to count everything...

...and pack everything up. I say 'we', but
this guy here in the gray sweater...

...seems to be doing only a whole lot of nothing. Hmm....

It was a long, tiring night, but it was worth it. Not only did we have a good time hanging out together, but as volunteers, we also got a free T-shirt or CD bundle (normally $25 and $20 respectively), got to see most of the concert for free (tickets were as much as $50), and since we were staff, we were able to go and sit anywhere. E and I were lucky enough to find seats near the front. Overall, not a bad deal, and definitely a lot of fun.

I am indignant! But I'll just point out 2 things:

The guy who wrote this post about the guy "doing only a whole lot of nothing"...

1) had time to take pictures of a guy "doing only a whole lot of nothing".

2) was inside the concert hall while the guy "doing only a whole lot of nothing" and a few other guys were outside in the rain loading and unloading boxes.

Bwahahahaha...

Signed,
guy "doing only a whole lot of nothing"
