April showers

Wow, can you believe the weather we're having today? It's the perfect day. It's strange to think that this is supposed to be just a brief respite.

The rain and cold weather has been going on for so long, that it's only been this week that I've been able to sleep without my room heater on, and today was the first day that I actually needed to open my window to cool down my room. Talk about late in coming; the year is almost 1/3 over.

And we're still not out of the woods yet. The rain is supposed to return today, and continue for the rest of the week. Too bad. I guess the old adage about April showers applies to California, too, but for now, I'm going to enjoy the sunshine and the warm weather however briefly it may last.
